Josie is my doll. I like her a lot. I pretend that she is my little sister. I’m trying to spend my money on another Josie which is $42 so that they can be twins. I’m saving my money to try to get $42. I have saved $8 so far.

My softball season just ended yesterday and I got my trophy. I’ve got two trophies from softball and two trophies from basketball because I’ve played two years of basketball and one year of t-ball and one year of softball. Here is a movie of me playing softball earlier in the year.

I like getting comments a lot. Just look at my map and you’ll see where I got comments from around the world. Here’s my Dad to tell you how to write comments on my blog.

Dad: We have some folks new to blogging reading Abby's blog and they aren’t quite sure how to comment, so Abby thought we should tell them. Good idea.

To post comments on any given post, scroll down to the bottom of the post where it indicates "x comments." Click on that once to read the existing comments, and it will also bring up a box titled "Leave your comment." Type your comment, choose Other and type your name (users with a Google Account can use that instead of "Other", but they most likely already know how to comment), leave "Your Web Page" blank (unless you have a web page you want to link to), then click Publish Your Comment. Your comment then goes into "moderation" - once I approve it, it will show up on the blog.

I went to a store called Pacific Ocean. I saw live crabs, live snails, and live frogs. There were a lot of them. It was a Chinese market. Then I went to lunch at a Chinese restaurant. It was good. It was a big restaurant. We went there because my Mom and Ms. MaKayla might want to take their class there on a field trip. We went to another store but my Mom and Ms. MaKalya aren’t going to bring their class in this store because there’s breakable stuff in there and there is already lots of stuff broken and there is lots of fragile stuff there. We bought some Chinese food – panda cookies and candy and seaweed. I also bought a soup spoon.

I went to the rec center because I wanted to go swimming and I got my own rec center card. Because I’m seven now and they keep track of how many people there are so that’s why I had to get one.

I already told you that my Mom’s working at my school this year. Here is a picture of her.

Scruffy came over yesterday for a couple of hours. Because we are going to be taking care of him probably for five days so he came over so that he could get used to the house and used to us. Here are some pictures.

I have a knitting video to show you guys on my blog. This video has Grandma F. helping me knit. I like knitting. And Grandpa F. taught me how to play cribbage. I’ve beaten my Dad a bunch of times.

I have one butterfly on my house. He was just staying right there. And I got a lot of pictures of him. His wings were so pretty.

I got a new digital camera today. I took some pictures of my friend’s dog named Scruffy. We are going to be taking care of him when his family goes out of town. That’s why he came over – to get used to the yard and to get used to the house.

I had a really good time with my Grandma and Grandpa S, my Mom’s parents. And my Grandpa S. helped me fly my kite, but he never got to fly my kite because it wasn’t windy enough. Their friends brought over Brandie and Brandie ran around and ran around and ran around. Brandie is my Grandma and Grandpa S.’s friends' dog.

I got to ride in the front of my Grandma and Grandpa’s RV, not my Dad’s Mom and Dad but my Mom’s Mom and Dad. They’ve been traveling with their friends and they have a dog named Brandie – they also have an RV, too.

I went to Royal Gorge last week and I crossed the bridge walking.

We didn’t drive it for some reason, I don’t know why. There’s two choices – we can drive or walk. And I also got to ride the Trolley back over the bridge. I got to ride the tram. That was kind of cool because I got to ride the tram over and come back on the next tram.

I got to ride the merry-go-round.

The next day I got to sit around the campfire at my Grandma and Grandpa’s house at the RV park and I got to eat hamburgers. We didn’t get to roast s'mores that day because it started raining, but we got to make them inside in the microwave. Brandie – their friend’s dog – I got to feed her a lot.

I already know something about school this year. Miss Hanni is my teacher this year at Renaissance. And my Mom is working at my school as a first grade teacher so that we will ride together every day until we get out of school.

I think Miss Hanni is going to be really cool because she is one of my best teachers I think. I really like Miss Hanni even though I don’t know much about her – I just really like her for some reason. I know Miss Hanni a little bit already because sometimes our classes did things together last year. We studied pioneers together and we watched a movie about Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Miss MaKayla is my Mom’s teammate at school – they teach first grade together. I might be helping her sometimes after school after I get my homework done.

I woke up at 7:46 this morning. That was really cool because I didn’t know I was going to sleep that late. We’re going heely-ing at the mall today. My Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt are coming to see my softball practice tonight. That’s all I want to say today. I might add more, but not right now. Okay, bye for now!

[Editor's note: these are pictures from Abby's game a week ago.]

I am starting a blog. I think my blog is going to be really cool because it’s just going to be like my own blog and I’m going to tell you all about my life. Today my Dad and I went outside to saw wood and I really liked that because my Dad almost let me saw all the wood.

And yesterday I got to climb the ladder up to the roof and then I went upstairs and I opened the window by myself and I talked to my Dad on the roof. That was so cool!
That’s all I want to say today. Bye, thank you for reading this.
