Orlando

I went to Orlando to see my Grandmother because she had a stroke in January. I also saw my Grandfather and Uncle Mike. We went to my Grandma’s CT scan on Monday. On Tuesday we went to Epcot for two hours and it was my Grandma’s first time since the stroke. She can do everything well but talk and remember. She talks okay but sometimes she doesn’t remember what she just said or uses the wrong words. She liked us visiting. She likes us to show her stuff and help her relearn some stuff. We went to a doctor appointment. It was her brain doctor. On the way home we went to the popcorn store and we went to a park. I really liked going to Orlando and seeing my Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Mike.

Today my Mom and I raked the leaves in our front yard. We raked a lot of leaves. We filled one trash can and two garbage bags. I had to stand in the trash can to crush the leaves so that we could fit more in. When we came in from raking the leaves we put a new quilt on my bed. The quilt is rainbow colors. Here are pictures of my room.






Then we had lunch. I had a quesadilla with cheese and black olives. I also had peaches. After lunch I played with my friend Dane. When Dane went home my Mom and I went for a walk.

July 24, 2007

I went to a store called Pacific Ocean. I saw live crabs, live snails, and live frogs. There were a lot of them. It was a Chinese market. Then I went to lunch at a Chinese restaurant. It was good. It was a big restaurant. We went there because my Mom and Ms. MaKayla might want to take their class there on a field trip. We went to another store but my Mom and Ms. MaKalya aren’t going to bring their class in this store because there’s breakable stuff in there and there is already lots of stuff broken and there is lots of fragile stuff there. We bought some Chinese food – panda cookies and candy and seaweed. I also bought a soup spoon.

I went to the rec center because I wanted to go swimming and I got my own rec center card. Because I’m seven now and they keep track of how many people there are so that’s why I had to get one.

I already told you that my Mom’s working at my school this year. Here is a picture of her.

Scruffy came over yesterday for a couple of hours. Because we are going to be taking care of him probably for five days so he came over so that he could get used to the house and used to us. Here are some pictures.

I already know something about school this year. Miss Hanni is my teacher this year at Renaissance. And my Mom is working at my school as a first grade teacher so that we will ride together every day until we get out of school.

I think Miss Hanni is going to be really cool because she is one of my best teachers I think. I really like Miss Hanni even though I don’t know much about her – I just really like her for some reason. I know Miss Hanni a little bit already because sometimes our classes did things together last year. We studied pioneers together and we watched a movie about Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Miss MaKayla is my Mom’s teammate at school – they teach first grade together. I might be helping her sometimes after school after I get my homework done.
