Orlando

I went to Orlando to see my Grandmother because she had a stroke in January. I also saw my Grandfather and Uncle Mike. We went to my Grandma’s CT scan on Monday. On Tuesday we went to Epcot for two hours and it was my Grandma’s first time since the stroke. She can do everything well but talk and remember. She talks okay but sometimes she doesn’t remember what she just said or uses the wrong words. She liked us visiting. She likes us to show her stuff and help her relearn some stuff. We went to a doctor appointment. It was her brain doctor. On the way home we went to the popcorn store and we went to a park. I really liked going to Orlando and seeing my Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Mike.

Florida Day 5

I went to Sea World. I saw a dolphin and whale show. The dolphins and the whales jumped so high that their whole body was out of the water. Also at this show were people dressed in costumes and on bungee cords pretending to fly. After the show my Dad fed the dolphins and I tried to pet them. A trainer came over and helped get the dolphin over with a special whistle so I could pet it.

Then we saw a killer whale swimming around right up by the glass. Next we saw the Shamu show. The trainers had to train the whales to do all the cool stuff that the whales can do now. The killer whales jumped all the way out of the water. It was really fun because they got their body all the way up. There was a baby whale.

Before I went on the Whale Express roller coaster I got to climb on the nets. I could get up the nets all by myself this year. Then we went on the Whale Express roller coaster. It was really slow. It was fun because it was so slow. While I was climbing the nets my Grandma and Grandpa bought me a t-shirt with a killer whale on it. I like it.

Then we saw the penguins. Then we saw puffins with people in the tank cleaning it. Then we saw really big sea turtles. They were sleeping. Then we saw pearl divers. Last, we went home. It was a really good day.

Florida Day 4

I went to the beach today. This beach was on the Atlantic Ocean and was called Jetty Park at Cape Canaveral. I saw two sea turtles and I saw two dolphins. I tried to build a sandcastle but it washed away because of the waves. My Dad and I ran into the ocean and had races and pretended that my Dad was a lifeguard and he came out and saved me. We drove to the beach in Grandma and Grandpa's new RV and we took Brandie. Brandie is a dog that belongs to Grandma and Grandpa's friends Richard and Vera and Grandma and Grandpa are taking care of her while their friends are gone. We ate lunch in the RV by the beach. We saw three big boats come into the port.

Florida Day 3

The next day we went to Animal Kingdom. We rode on a water ride where you ride on some rapids and get wet. We rode on it three times. We rode on a safari two times and saw elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, flamingos, okapis, crocodiles, a white rhino, a black rhino, warthog, ostrich, and other animals. There was a really old bridge that was tilted and it made it bumpy. We also saw the Finding Nemo Musical and it was about the movie Finding Nemo. I liked the part with the turtles the best.

Florida Day 2

The next day we went to EPCOT Center and went on Test Track. It’s where you get in a car and pretend to test a sample car. We went over bumps, we had a brake test where you go really fast and then it brakes, and went in a really hot room and a really cold room, and then see how fast it goes around the building and my Mom screamed. We rode the Finding Nemo ride and rode in shells. At the very end we got to see dolphins in a tank. We went on a boat ride in Mexico and saw all different kinds of things that people in Mexico do. We rode The Land, it’s also a boat ride, and we saw the greenhouse. The greenhouse is where fruits grow. We saw the Circle of Life movie and it was about leave no trace. We went on Journey to the Imagination which is where you go through rooms about hearing, smelling, tasting, seeing and feeling. We also went on Soarin’, which is a ride where you pretend to fly and you see a movie with scenery in it. We ate lunch at a Chinese place at EPCOT. I liked it. At the end we went on a ride in the big ball that was about the olden days and the future.

Florida Day 1

We are in Florida on vacation. We came here to see my Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Mike and to do fun things. Here are some of the rides we went on at Magic Kingdom: Buzz Lightyear, Splash Mountain, the Blue Line, Thunder Mountain, the Indy Speedway and It’s a Small World. At Buzz Lightyear you had a laser and you tried to light up the little Z’s. At Splash Mountain you get wet when you go down the big hill. The Blue Line went through Space Mountain and all around Tomorrowland. Goofy’s roller coaster is really fun but really quick. You go up a big hill, come down halfway, turn the corner, then turn another corner, go through the chicken house, then you turn another corner, then you go straight, then you turn another corner and then it brakes really hard and you’re finished. The time that we went on Thunder Mountain we got to ride in the front seat and it was really fun. I liked It’s a Small World because I played that on the piano a while back.

October 24, 2007 - Animal Kingdom

Today I went to Animal Kingdom. We rode on the Primeval Whirl roller coaster seven times. I rode with my Dad and my Grandma and I liked it.

I took the safari ride and saw hippos, elephants, giraffes, lions and other animals.

We went on the Kali River Rapids water ride two times. We had to wear our ponchos and we got all wet and it was fun. You go up this big hill and then you don’t go very fast down, but you do get wet and you see a pretend fire. At the end people think they are all done getting wet, but there’s a switch up on the bridge that people can push and when you push it the elephants at the end squirt water on them.

We rode on a train and got off the train and we went into a petting zoo. In the petting zoo I brushed the goats. They came out of the ropes sometimes because it’s a petting zoo and they can walk around and they can go into the other rope area. It was neat because they felt good.

October 23, 2007 - Clearwater Beach

Today I went to Clearwater Beach. I built a sandcastle like the one I saw on Reading Rainbow. I got water in a bucket. Then I put sand in there. Then I scooped the sand out with my hand and drizzled it on the sand castle. It makes a drizzled sand castle. We saw another man build an alligator out of sand.

We also played in the ocean. We played splash and jumped over the waves.


The signs were up that said stringrays were in the water sometimes and we should watch out carefully for them. We did not see any.

October 22, 2007 - Epcot Center

Today we went to Epcot Center. I rode a boat ride called Living with the Land two times. I really liked it because we got to see fish, alligators, a rainforest with pretend alligators, pumpkins, and lots of other plants growing.

I traded lanyard pins. These are pins about Disney that you trade with other people and when you get them you put them on a strap you wear around your neck. I traded with people who work at Disney.

I went on a Nemo ride. I rode in a type of clam and saw jellyfish. We saw Nemo and Nemo’s Dad and Dory. After we got off the ride we saw a dolphin show. The dolphin smiled at us and the trainer made some hand motions and the dolphin would do them.

We went to a restaurant called The Nine Dragons at the China Pavilion. I tried some new kinds of food. I didn’t like some but I ate it because I didn’t have to eat all of it. I found some that I really liked, too.

I got to make chocolate chip cookies. When we were making the cookies they put it in this magic oven and the cookies came out cooked in a just a few seconds.
