Ms. Stephanie

Ms. Stephanie came over to play with me and to meet my dog. She came over for lunch and then we went to the pool. I made lunch for her. I made quesadillas and a side salad. The pool was fun because we got to do a lot of fun stuff like play catch, baseball, and I had to pull her around in a tube. It was exhausting! I had a great day! Here are some pictures.

Here is a slideshow that shows us trying to get a good picture of the three of us.

When I Got Annie

I was sitting in the car driving to Colorado Springs to a house I had never been to before. I was really excited. I was going to get a new dog. It was also the breed that I wanted. So we went in to the house and then we got to meet Annie. We decided that we would take her home and she would be our dog.

When we got home Annie did not know where she was. I think that she was kind of scared because she didn't know where she was. She kind of just looked around. Then that afternoon we went and got a place that is just for her.

She is an inside dog. She is really good inside. But I really like that she does not pee in the house.

Annie is really good with people. I really like how she does with new people.

Annie always skids on the tile because she is not used to the tile underneath her paws. She is getting better but still not great. We will be playing and Annie will be running and she will slip on the tile. Her paws slip out from under her and it is like she has no control of her paws, at the time.

She was not good at stairs. She was not good at the basement stairs because the basement stairs are not carpeted. But now she is great at basement stairs.

SHE IS THE BEST DOG IN THE WORLD.

Annie Update

Annie is very good with little kids. My friend, Jimmy, who is almost 2, came over and Annie did very well with him. One time he threw one of his rubber blocks and Annie thought they were playing fetch so she ran and picked up the block. She gave it back though.

Today we got her a new bed and moved her crate to the basement. She got too hot in her crate in my room at night. So tonight we are going to try the new bed so she can go downstairs to the tile floor in the kitchen when she gets hot.

We left her alone for the first time on Saturday when I had a softball game. We left her in her crate. Today we tried to leave her alone without her being in her crate for 15 minutes. She chewed the corner off of her food container. We are going to move the food container and try again tomorrow.

We put Annie’s new collar and new name tag on today. The collar is red and the nametag says “Annie” and where she lives.

She loves to play. Her favorites are tug and chasing a ball down the stairs.

She likes it when we read at night in our bedroom. I call my room “Annie and Abby’s Room” now.

Annie

We want for a walk last night and this morning.

Annie liked to listen to me play guitar.

Annie sat and waited for my mom to get out of the shower.

This is were Annie sleeps at night.

Annie likes to look out the window.

I got to brush Annie.

We Have a New Dog!

We have a new dog named Annie. She is a golden retriever who is four years old. We drove to Colorado Springs to meet Annie and see if she was the perfect fit for our family. She was the perfect fit so we decided to adopt her and bring her home. We got Annie from Retriever Rescue of Colorado, but she was staying with a nice foster family.

She has the same name as our old dog, but we did not name her. Her foster family picked that name and we thought it was great so we're keeping it.
