President Obama's Speech

After watching President Obama's speech today, I made some goals for myself like he asked us to do. Here are my goals:

1. Read more books and read harder books.
2. Work at playing softball better.
3. Write more.
4. Do better at school on my school work by working hard and trying my best.

Hello Abby! I don't know if you will remember who I am, but I know you from Renaissance. I am Laurie, Julian's mom. Your mom was Julian's teacher in 1st grade!
Your mom sent me the link to your blog today and I have had so much fun reading it!
I was telling your mom in a note I wrote to her, that I sure do miss seeing the two of you at school. It looks as though you are having a good time homeschooling and that you are really learning a lot!
I'll be keeping in touch here. I really like the goals you set after watching President Obama today. I know you'll do a great job reaching them!
See you soon!

Those are terrific goals Abby! It will be interesting to look back at them in a few months and see what kind of progress you are making with them. Good luck!

Thanks for writing about this. I liked
hearing about your goals. It is good to have goals. I'm glad you listened to what the President said.

Thanks for sharing what you want to do now.

Hi Abby,

I think your goals are really good ones and that writing them down will be helpful.

I'm wondering, are you going to work on them all at once or is there one you feel is more important that you might start with first?

@Lani - I think I'll work on them one at a time and I'm going to start with read more books and read harder books.

Hey Abby,
I showed my two daughters your comments. There school did not allow them to watch the speech, but they did watch with me. We all liked your goals. My girls thought it was really cool that you blog. They also like that you have goals for school and for softball. Keep up the good work!

Hi Abby:

Those are very good goals to work on.

I'm not reading as much as I usually do because of my work schedule. I really would like to read more too.

You seem very good at softball, but it is good to strive to be better.

I have noticed a big difference and improvement in the quality of your writing this year. Keep writing and improving!

You can always improve by trying to do your best in anything.

I really like your goals! I did not have a chance to listen to President Obamas's speech.
