Nice sentences, Abby! I have some students who are devoted to Henry and Mudge - I'm glad that you enjoy reading since it's something you can enjoy for your whole life. I'm glad you got to join in our game. Have your Dad or Mom done the 8 Things yet? I'll bet that if they had to name their favorite things, you'd top the list!

I have not read Henry and Mudge, but maybe I will this year. I like to read too, but mostly I read Magic Tree House.

My dog just burped, and it made me and my mom laugh really hard!

Hi Abby,

I work at a high school where there is a teacher/tech guy, who is pushing us to do more technilogically than we do. Anyway, if you don't mind, I think I will have my boys (age 10 and 7) blog on your account. I haven't pushed technology as much with them in our home but am finding other kids in our neighborhood know a lot more than they do. I will try to set them up in the next few days.

Here are 8 random facts about me.
I work at Arapahoe High School

I have a dog that looks like Scruffy but her name is Clara

I am from Wyoming

I love Mexican food

Technology scares me so much that I have about 500 pictures on my digital camera and I am afraid to ask how to get them off

I have 3 boys!

I love to read

I love to cook

Thanks Abby,

Grandpa – I liked your eight random facts about you. What grade did you teach when you were teaching college?

Ms. Marci – What’s a Hawaiian cruise? Did you get a pet cow when you were a kid? I really want to get a dog.

Aunt Martha – What’s a tractor-trailer? Maybe sometime we could go to Olive Garden with you Aunt Martha.

Hi Abby:

A tractor-trailer is the big truck that I sometimes drive at work. It is a big truck that is attached to a trailer (usually 45-48 feet long) that the drivers take to the stores to deliver the stuff that you buy at a drug store--all the prescriptions and other things you can buy at Rite Aid stores or others like that, like CVS, or Walgreens.

We are sending out stuff for Halloween right now. Soon we will be sending out things for Christmas.

We have to have it in the stores early so that people will start buying stuff early. (We sent stuff out for "back to school" in June, just after school was out for the summer.

I really don't understand why we send it out so early, but somebody thinks we should sent it out then!

How is your blood blister doing? Is it getting better now?

I went out to dinner at Red Lobster on Sunday night. I will go to Olive Garden next weekend.

Love, Aunt Martha

I never did get a pet cow! I don't know why my parents thought it was a bad idea!!! On a cruise you travel around on a huge boat, kind of like the Titanic. On this cruise we will be going to Hawaii. I have never been on a cruise before, so I am very excited~even though it is more than a year away!

ps. Keep practicing telling time!
